JB's Beauty and a Beat

Beauty and a Beat-Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber’s new video featuring Nicki Minaj, Beauty and a Beat, is an explosion of greatness.  It includes great lyrics, unique beat, new style, and exciting mood which all makes this video uplifting and inspiring to the young adults and teenagers around the world.  All these young people nowadays love to spend their free time going to clubs to dance with friends and potential lovers.
Good lyrics to me have to be understandable in literal terms and also be coherent to the listeners, so they can enjoy the song again by singing with the song.  This song has very well written lyrics that basically tell people that they need to go have fun in their life, and they need to find that one person that they will love forever.  Then, they are suppose to have as much fun with that person as they can to never have regrets in their later in life.  It also talks about partying in clubs to dance the night away with the one that completes you.
A song’s beat is only good when it can relate to what is modern to today’s kind of music and keeps the crowd on their feet dancing all night long.  It also has to have some sort of variety of transitions to keep the audience not knowing the next loop in the song.  This song’s beat has a flare of new modern style beats that play in clubs all around the world.  Its constant movement makes the audience dance their asses off all through the night with some twists after the chorus to cause them to shift speeds.  This song will make any club the hot spot to burn some calories and meet new exciting people.
The greatness of style can only determine how original the song and video is.  Can it turn heads and grab viewer’s attention?  This song’s biggest originality is the fact that Justin Bieber shoots most of the video by himself holding the camera throughout the scenes.  Another thing is that the video starts out with a text saying that the footage was stolen and then posted, which grabs the viewer’s attention thinking that they are about to see something that wasn’t suppose to be seen to the public.  It also shows a new game that has just came out to up sales for the game and cause people to buy it just because they love the video.  The video also interjects throughout the whole video with bloopers of the back scenes of the music business and life of Justin Bieber.  The beginning of the lyrics the video shows teenagers partying with a ping pong table which shows that they want to relate to the younger audience.  A huge factor in this video is that they rented an entire water park just to shoot this video, and they then hired a bunch of young teenagers to stand around acting like they were partying, while the paid performers made it seem like the whole party revolved around Justin.  He also shot some scenes underwater, which adds a wow factor and also shows how far technology has come for great lenses.  The fact that Nicki Minaj, a female rapper who his hugely became famous within the past few years, is featured in this video has the beauty to his beat.  The true inspiration in this video shows that pop singers can make great songs and videos with rappers.
The mood can be good for most songs as long as they stay true to the lyrics of the song.  If the song is about break-up, then the mood must be sad.  In this song the mood is perfect, because the lyrics describe an endless party.  Through the whole video the entire water park was either dancing like crazy or partying like hell.  The excitement also flowed through the crowd that got crazier as Justin got to their spot.  It was almost as if they felt his excitement.  The mood also inspired people to want to find someone to love and dance with them.  Its whole motto was to live it up!

In conclusion, the video over all was very inspiring to all teenagers and young adults that they will never stay youthful.  The overall lyrics, beat, style, and mood caused this video and song to be a complete success.  I would watch this video over and over again because it has the whole package when it comes to young audiences and modern adversity.
